Hi I'm new the forum, and have had asthma since childhood but ever so often it gets out of control ,, my health started getting worse about 3 -4ys ago tightness in chest ,wheezing for slightest thing is walking even a few steps and I'm having to use my inhaler , it can take up to 10-15 puffs to control it I also use a small mini hand can the ones you use of your hot to get air , ive informed my gp , and I was deferred to specialist at hospital which is on going with different tests and medication I feel like a lab rat, nothing seems to work this morning I received a text saying cannot have anymore inhalers until I'd had a asthma review so I contacted the surgery to book one and the earliest they can do is in two weeks I explained that I couldn't go without but they stated that I had to have review , as you know fellow asthmatics that stress and worry don't help so I rang back they have now booked a phone appointments with a doctor to allow extra inhalers I go through ventolin ,, every 5-7 days which I know isn't good but what else can I do

sounds lime you need to be seen. Do use other treatments? its not ideal to survive on ventolin. I switched to a mart regime to get my asthma under control but use salbutamol in emergencys. Do you already use pred? would that be an option with the gp. Take care
