Good Day to all and I hope that you are keeping well.
I have just read on my test results on my patient access account and was surprised to see under test results that I have an Asthma control test of 7/25.Firstly I do not know how on the 5th Jan 2021 this figure was achieved as I was recovering from another exacerbation. This is something which I have not come across and have not had any tests carried out in hospital apart from the usual Blood/Peak Flow etc.
I would like to be enlightened about this test and how it is achieved

The ACT is a set of 5 questions that cover the previous months symptoms/vent use. Each question is scored out of 5 and an overall score below 20 suggests you are not controlled and a score below 15 suggests you may be at increased risk of an asthma attack. Because it is only 5 questions they probably just asked them over the phone just didn’t tell you they were doing an ACT.
Thanks Emma This explains the question but I cant remember being asked any questions after leaving hospital and I left hospital over 7 days sinceKeep Well and Safe
