Combisal vs Fostair

My asthma has been somewhat out of control the last couple of months. My usual prescription of Fostair 100/6 (2 puffs twice a day) and daily Montelukast has not been working well enough.

I 've also been getting nightly crackles in my chest when I breathe in, although the asthma nurse doesn't think it's asthma related but might be connected to the meds I take for rheumatoid arthritis.

The nurse tried increasing my Fostair dose to 6 puffs a day but I ended up getting terrible palpitations, so now she is switching my inhaler to the highest strength of Combisal. I've never heard of Combisal - does anyone else here take it, and if so what has your experience been? Thanks!

Combisal contains a different long acting bronchodilator to Fostair. I like the website rightbreath.com as it let's you look up info about all the various asthma inhalers. It might be that a different long acting bronchodilator will work better for you. It's worth a try! Do hope it helps. Take care.
