Hello,

Been advised to stay home from work dye to new lockdown up here in Scotland. Anyone know what the deal is wuth shielding this time round? Think I will go stir crazy if I have to go through this again. My workplace is OTT on the whole covid safety stuff. Literally isolated awat from everyone. Anti bac wipes and gel surrounding me. I feel safe there.

Presumably it says in your email or letter or whatever info you get in Scotland?

I got this text: GOV.SCOTThe First Minister has announced additional restrictions in all parts of Scotland at level 4 to help suppress the new strain of coronavirus. You should follow the same guidance as the rest of the population. In addition, if you can't work from home you should NOT go to work. The Chief Medical Officer is sending you a letter which will act as a fit note. If you need support to access food, medicines and other services, call the National Helpline on 0800 111 4000 or visit mygov.scot/shielding for more information. The additional restrictions do not apply to island areas at level 3.

If you are clinically extremely vulnerable you should get more information from Scottish government. If you are advised to work from home it may well be that your work place will not want you to go there. Might affect their insurance if you become unwell.

We are allowed out for exercise this time and can go into a shop for essential food and medicines.
