Warming air during cycling

Cycling-what do you use to keep cold air out of lungs? I haven’t found a great solution yet....

A good Respro mask with a N95 or N99 filter should do it. I cycle in a very polluted and cold city year round (Bogota, South America), and I actually forget I have asthma when I am wearing my mask.

Let me know if it works for you.

I envoyé cycling too but haven’t done that in very cold weather yet. However I also like skiing which obviously takes place in cold conditions 🙂

There is a product called Airtrim that you can try. It helps warming the air and gets recommendations from various specialists in the medical and sports world.

See Airtrim.se (there is a Swedish and an English language option on the page)

Good luck!

Only a Buff will do. Motorcyclists use them, lungies wear them, skiers wear them in sub zero temperatures and at speed. They are treated so that moisture wicks away & they don't get damp with breath. Wash and dry speedily. Come in plain or patterned, synthetic fibre, pure merino wool (my favourite). I buy mine via amazon or somewhere like Mountain Wharehouse. I have a small head so wear the child size, the last ones I bought back in February to wear as masks re covid are black and made from recycled plastic bottles, very soft. Cheap imitations wont do, only the Buff brand (no relationship to me)! As an asthmatic I've worn them for years against cold air and to try to protect against bugs on the tube to work.

Have a look at the website, you can wear it in a variety of ways. I used to wear them concertinad round my neck then pull it up over nose & mouth when needed. Fine material so not bulky.

Great ideas thanks will check all out!
