Unusual allergy-induced asthma symptom or unrelated (mild shakiness)?

Hi there,

I had a recent flare up of my allergy-induced asthma, which cleared up after 8 weeks (and after speaking to the asthma nurse, we came to the conclusion that an allergen had triggered the flare up, I believe it might have been fungal/mold spores in the garden).

A few days later I had a smaller reaction after eating some Stilton (?!?). Which seems to have improved.

However, since the “Stilton incident” I’ve been getting feelings of shakiness, mostly in my chest, but occasionally all over. It’s very mild and comes and goes, it also seems to have improved slightly.

I’m wondering if this could be allergy or asthma related.

If it hasn’t gone in the next few days, I’ll see my GP in case it’s to do with my blood sugar or something else. It’s just odd that it started exactly the same time as my asthma.

Has anyone with allergy induced asthma experienced similar?

Also, just to note, this isn’t related to the shakiness after taking a salbutamol inhaler as I haven’t needed to take it for a few days (although the feeling is similar, albeit a much milder and longer lasting version).

Thanks

I haven't experienced shaking as you describe except for the Ventolin rush that I sometimes get. If symptoms persist I would follow up with your doctor - best to get things checked out. It could be a coincidence and not linked to the allergic reaction or the meds that you took.

Thanks for your reply.Yes I booked a drs appt for Tuesday.

However, this might sound strange, but I believe the shaky (vibrating feeling) may have been linked to my Fitbit. The moment I took it off (just this morning after reading that some people have had a similar experience with their Fitbits) the feeling stopped.

I’ll see what happens over the next couple of days, but might cancel the appointment.
