You might have seen in the news that a new tier system is being introduced in Scotland from Monday to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. It’ll consist of levels zero to four and will depend on the rates of infection in local areas.

If you’re in the 'clinically extremely vulnerable' group, it’s likely you’ll be wondering about what this means for you. Currently, the government in Scotland is not advising that people return to the full shielding measures issued in March. Instead, there will be specific advice at each tier for those on the shielding list. The Scottish government will also continue to send out SMS alerts to those who previously received them.
