Can anyone tell me of non steroid inhalers and / or nose sprays they have used and how they get on with them? Thank you.

Non Steroid Inhalers and nose sprays
Sorry - I’ve only just found this. I’m on Rinatec nasal spray (Ipratropium Bromide), which I don’t think is steroid based.
It’s OK - mostly does the job though it’s not quite as good as the steroid nasal spray I used to be on (flixonase) and with me all nasal sprays will result in a nose bleed if I use of them too continuously so I tend to use them on an as and when needed basis only. I also find that nasal sprays can result in sinus issues sometimes, though note, not every time I’ve used one, and I’ve no idea why that is. Note this is how it is with me. I know of people who use nasal sprays who don’t seem to have those issues.
It can help to use Sterimar saline spray to 'clear things out' if your nose is stuffy. However, it doesn't replace the fluticasone nasal spray I use - it just helps it along, and I can use it in between nasal spray doses if I'm still bunged up.
Asthma-wise I am on Spiriva Respimat, montelukast tablets and Phyllocontin tablets which work for me without any major side effects I've noticed. However, all of those are in addition to my Fostair Nexthaler (combined inhaled steroid and long-acting reliever) which I also need - they are not instead of inhaled steroids.
If there is a medical reason you can't use inhaled or nasal steroids you would need to discuss this with your doctor so they can look for alternatives, but generally the inhaled steroids are the first and most effective preventive treatment for asthma, and other treatments (like those I've mentioned above) will be added in if these don't control your asthma.
