Sore chest

Lately I've been getting what feels like a sore chest after a little bit of activity and I have to take a few deep breaths but it usually clears up fast. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have a Pulmicort Turbohaler if that makes a difference.

If your symptoms have changed, in that you feel breathless, then have a chat with your asthma nurse or doctor so that they can increase your meds or add another treatment, just to help you over this period. Always seek help early and get on top of things before they worsen.

All the best.

Thanks, its not all the time and its not really breathless just that I have to take a couple of deep breaths and then it goes away. My inhaler did get changed a few weeks ago so I'm wondering if its because of that, I'll keep an eye on it and definitely get help if its not going away or gets worse.

I'm wondering if it would be addressed by some simple, regular lung or breathing exercises - just to strengthen things up a bit. There are some good videos on YouTube made by physiotherapists showing breathing exercises. Or you could benefit from a resistance breathing device - about £11 on Amazon. I used to use this before I exercised as it warmed up by lungs & they felt more "elastic".

You can find more tips about breathing exercises on the Asthma UK website.

All the best.

Thanks I will check it out, I did go to the gym everyday before all the lockdown stuff and was fine so maybe do just need some exercise.
