2.6 challenge for asthma UK

Hi all!

This is just a short (well not so short apparently 😅) message to say;

1 thank you to frazzle for the donation! You didn’t have to but you rock!

2 thought I might promote my challenge on here (my last day is tomorrow anyway, but every little helps).

I (and Js706) have been doing my 2.6 challenge for asthma UK. Not sure how many people are aware of it, but it started on the day the London marathon was meant to run, but obviously didn’t. A lot of charities have lost out on their usual fundraising methods so challenged us to do something to do with 2.6/26 (the number of miles in a marathon which wasn’t run)...

I went for 26 different exercises, done 26 times/held for 26secs, everyday for 26 days... and then seemed to accidentally persuade Js706 to join me 😅. Now we both had to hit pause at various points due to hospital admissions, however I have managed to get mine finishing on the 26th!! 😂😂 (unfortunately J has a little longer to go 😘)

If anyone would like to sponsor one of us, we (and asthma UK) would very much appreciate it, however if you just want to have a nosey at what I challenged myself to do then fair dos! I’m going to try and film the complete workout tomorrow of time lapse... another challenge for me! And if I can I shall try and add it to the just giving page 😅 This has been something that’s kept me going and fit during the long weeks shielding which is also a win! I have never been so active on Facebook 😂 (I have uploaded a different exercise each day to ‘prove’ that I’m doing them)

So far between us, Js706 and I have now raised £567.26 (thanks for the addition change there Lysistrata... that totally hasn’t been bugging me ever since you did it...😂😂😅). That’s (basically) 19 hours of one the asthma nurses paid for! So if you would like to sponsor one of us, please do, if not, or if you can’t then no worries, and i feel your pain on the low income atm! (It’s why I went for fundraising rather than donating if I am honest)

Hey I just went for all the 26s...would you like me to donate 74p to make up? Or will Gift Aid screw that? 😂😂

Nah. Once we’ve both finished I’ll donate to the nearest 30 interval... I’m the only one of the crew to not donate and now I’ve finally got a little money coming in I’ll sponsor J 😉
