I have been shielding since last week. We have one bathroom which is cleaned every day. We are now sleeping in seperate rooms, sitting on seperate sofas etc.
Handwashing and wiping door handles, light switches etc happens regularly. But is this enough? We are out of our mind with worry and the information from the govt seems to have dried up.
Next Saturday will be 14 days since my husband left the house. If there are no symptoms, does that mean we are ok? If he goes out to the shops next Saturday, does the 14 day isolation period starts again?

You're doing enough. Try not to stress. Too much stress impacts on your immune system. There are millions of others in the exact same position as you.
You are bleaching all surfaces regularly and anything else which comes into the house, like food or mail. There's nothing g more you, or anyone else, can do.
This virus is not airborne to the extent that it can infect from a distance as long as you're careful when he brings the shopping back, and he's followed all the social distancing rules, your chances of picking up any viruses are very low. . You should always wash / gel hands before touching food or putting it to your mouth.
The 14 day period is for people who have had contact with someone who has the virus. We all need for one member of our household to go get the shopping. The cleaning rules we all follow will put paid to any virus they might bring in from outside. We would all be constantly under the 14 day isolation period if we had to follow it everytime someone left, and returned to, the house. I know, it's just a huge worry, for all of us, but especially those with pre-existing conditions.
Try not to worry and just keep safe. Turn off the news and watch a good comedy on tv each night. Lift your spirits. We will come through this.
