Aching lungs after starting on relvar Ellipta, is this common?

Both contain the same steroid and a different long acting bronchidilator. Have you checked the patient leaflet that came with the inhaler? I suspect you'll find it's a listed side effect, if it continues then talk to your doctor as they will change your medication if necessary.

Thank you for your reply. The common side effect seem much more extreme on leaflet than the Seretide. I might just go back on it until this pandemic is over. GP is up to her eyes. Don't want to bother them.

I am generally very well.

I had the same but arrived in hospital and doctors said nothing to do with asthmatic. UK.

But found water in my body infection

I changed from Sweeties 250 (4 puffs morning and 4 puffs night) which left my asthma very badly controlled to Relvar Elliott 92/22 and my breathing is perfect

.... no coughing at all. I didn't have any settling in period, hence definitely wise to talk to your doctor for follow up. I take mine at 8pm to give it time to work before I lie down. Best of luck, hope everything settles.

Thanks Emer. My cough has completely dried up also so Maybe I just need to stick it out I'll start taking it in the evening also.

Got moved from fostair 200 to relvar ellipta 184/22 as was struggling with chest pain on fostair but get none on the relvar no setting in period worked from day 1 like a dream

Hi Starch, thanks. Mayb it's a settling in period. I I'll give it another couple of weeks.
