Last night I put the dehumidifier in the room and left it belt away all night i already have an air purifier going there with 6 months no real effect, Strangely enough i did not wake this morning with a cough and i seem to be breathing a lot easier, i cannot say for sure yet but i feel good , wonder if that's short or long term the testing continues.

Hey that's great. I find that to be true when I use my dehumidifier as well. It's especially helpful on rainy days.
I also have an air purifier and dehumidifier and I leave it set at 50% humidity and find it helps ,good luck
I also found a dehumidifier helpful so have just had a PIV unit fitted which removes moisture and pumps fresh air into the house. Only had it fitted a week ago so will see how much difference it makes. It just looks like a light fitting in the ceiling and is meant to be cheaper to run than a dehumidifier. It comes with a therma-hydrometer which tells you the humidity levels. Ours was at 69% and is now down to 52%. I am hopeful ot will make a big difference to my breathing 🤞

Day two test dehumidifier did not work as well why well the night before i had the dehumidifier up beside the air purifier sso the testing continues. house is not damp its made of blocks no plasterboard or leaks in roof but the country is dam as hell Ireland where it always rains
Yes interesting. If the dehumidifier is sucking in anything that compromises air quality you'll see the effectiveness lessen however the bigger picture is still slowed with lowered humidity of course.
Ireland is damp. Stones can be too. Yes that type of regular damp around can be extra problematic to hypersensitive lungs... I'd still be on red alert... Mine was hidden under a dishwasher and then later in a wall, nowhere the eye could see and not one Dr could tell me why... Until I listened to a Christian Dr Jill Carnahan online who gave a lot of free information regarding the subject, she pointed me to Dr Sandeep Gupta, Mold Illness Made Simple. There was a lot more to it and a lot of other experts and years of study with world acclaimed indoor environmental specialists....to the hypersensitive even very low levels will mess you up. Air conditioners, they breed it, the drains in your house lets in more lethal gasses than is ever allowed into an operating theatre or patients die of bacterial infection, put your plugs in. Use accelerated drying techniques in bathrooms and have no wet areas. Take out old carpets. Remove old wall paper. Have no clutter. Dust= mold! To get the moldiness index of a building a dust sample is collected. You need critically clean, every aspect. Chemicals will exacerbate, don't expose self. All perfumes, deodorants, shampoos, fragrances, get serious, get rid of them. Get natural and look after your beautiful, those nasty microbes are our enemy xxx
I have actually been finding the total opposite and finding a HUMIDIFIER super helpful! It seems to calm my incredibly dry cough and dry mouth .. I feel like I am choking less! maybe I just find the bubbling helps me sleep but I do find it really soothing in many ways!
