The term 'shadow' simply means they have no idea what it is. It could simply be a smear on the film. Honestly! Got into a state when my husband had this, but all clear on the next scan. It's impossible to tell until you get a definite result, so remain hopeful.

I had a shadow on my lung when I was last in hospital, they went on to do a CT scan which was clear. Apparently it was an anomaly on the x-ray. The whole thing really worried me at the time. I hope you have the same result as I did.
