Medication Review

Only I could go for a medication review (my gp surhery insists on them every 12 month's) and get a call back from the gp I saw less than an hour later for a chest xray and spirometory with the asthma nurse

All because I mentioned my peak flow was dropping and i suspected it's because of the changing weather

😂😅 - hope you’re ok!

I had something similar - had to go to what was in essence a hot asthma clinic at my new spec yesterday and almost accidently ended up admitted (til I demonstrated I didn’t need it)

New con had never seen me bad, so even tho had evidence at other hosps he told me back in August ‘I would like to see you poorly, however you’re travelling 3hrs to get here so bad but not too bad’. Roll on this last week when I had a cold, severely affecting PF but epic reversibility with 2xvent so nothing to really be worried about. Call them and say ‘nows the time’ and get booked in for yesterday. Cause of the need to be bad I did not treat on way in so arrived noisy, sats 96-98 and HR 132-148 and not quite talking normally. See cons who makes me do PF and spiro etc (about 40%) and basically his first question to me ‘so you don’t think this is an attack? 🤨’ ‘nope this is a problem but not an attack. But you wanted evidence of asthma so...’ ‘Okaaay then...’ (sit whilst uploading spiro and him semi frowning at me) ‘erm can I take my vent now? Cause that will get rid of all of this’ ‘oo. Oh. You haven’t done vent? Yes please do. We can do reversibility!’

3 vent (accident cause he distracted me and made me laugh) and 15 mins later symptom free and PF 87% ‘I told you. Epic reversibility! This is not an attack’ ‘you’re right! That is epic’ 😂😂 (happily released home)

Also had it back in July/August when saw GP ‘yes my asthma is bad, no we are not discussing it, yes I will call my hosp asthma team once I leave here. We need to talk about x instead tho’
