I’ve just returned from a 13 hour shift and my son has started coughing my mum said he has been fine today currently on antibiotics for throat infection/cold he’s been ok but needing the blue inhaler more often he shoulds a little wheezy and I’ve just giving 4 puffs of his blue inhaler he’s tired trying to sleep but I’m worried sick to be honest he’s coughing still after the 4 puffs should I phone NHS 24 for advice ? Or just ride it out tonight and see how he goes after these doses I’m new to all this and he is 2 and a half

I would call 999 if he has been suffering so long and he is so young,

Paramedics can give him a nebuliser and check him over and assess the situation and if he doesn't improve they will take him to A&E
