It's so exhausting to have several flare ups in a row. I never had any issues with palpitations when taking prednisone (I've taken it many times in my life).

Take good care and keep asking doctors questions and learning about your condition. Education is so key. Good luck!!

Thanks must be just me but the nurse said I was the only one to lose weight on steroids. Just feeling a bit low at the moment 😔

I often gain weight after I stop them not while I'm on them. Regardless, get some sleep, eat well, drink a lot of water and take extra good care of yourself! Asthma flares and steroids are hard on the body.

Hi,

I never gain weight when on steroids and also loose eight very easily when I am unwell. If you have had a rough time getting on top of the asthma flare, it's not surprising that you are feeling low at the moment. I went through I similar time earlier this year.

I don't think you have to take the antidepressants if you are unhappy about them. I was recently offered antidepressants to treat anxiety but I chose not to take them and deal with the anxiety by trying relaxation techniques.

Try and eat as well as you can, do gentle exercise and get plenty of rest. I hope that you soon begin to feel better.
