I have been awake coughing most of the night, not sure if chest infection or not, no temp, no other feelings of being unwell but definitely not right. Not had symptoms in day just at night. Gut feeling is to start steroids. Really sad as not had a chest infection for 9 almost 10 months which is great for me.
It has been very damp and windy, plus we have a leak in our office and office is damp and smelly.
If you're worried, either start the steroids if that's in your plan or get medical guidance.
In terms of your office, I would certainly raise the damp issue with whoever you have to. It's awfully dangerous stuff for anyone, never mind people with lung problems.
I would put my money on the office smell as a problem, so really needs sorting if possible.
Inflamed lungs that need steroids to settle don’t generally cause a temperature in my experience.
Maybe a GPs visit needed to check out your current situation and meds? Coughing at night is a typical sign of asthma that’s not under enough control. A review needed, plus removal from the office damp smell, I would say.

Thanks for your replies, I started steroids yesterday, I could tell my lungs we’re inflamed. Better nights sleep last night. Lungs calmer today.
Most importantly I sent an email out to various folk, carpet removed. Health and safety officer came to take notes. I worked in another office yesterday, finished early and came in later today. I work for the NHS so least I am in the right place, A&E just next door.
