ive had this for weeks on end now, every now and then ill be able to cough up some thick green mucus but most of the time it just gets stuck in my throat. Can a sore throat and mucus build up make you feel like you cant breath properly and effect asthma?
And how can i get rid of this and loosen the mucus??
Thank you in advance

It sounds like you may have a chest infection if the mucus is green so I would suggest you make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can to get it properly checked out.
Post nasal drip, esp at night. Take a sample of your mucus for lab testing. I had 2 opportunistic bacteria which can come from various reasons, including use of antibiotics and or a stay in hospital. I found nasal irrigation and anti histamines a godsend.
It could be reflux, Mucus, need to clear your throat and shortness of breath are a few of the many symptoms of silent reflux (LPR).
I use a shaker medi plus to get the mucus up. Get a lot of mucus trapped with my asthma. Have nasal polyps too so nose is always stuffy. I use almays nasal spray that the doc prescribed. It helps but some days it's worse than others.
