I'm a lifelong asthmatic - have had issues with microfibre-filled quilts, pillows etc. I don't see how I could have an allergy to this but it sure feels like it! Trying to sleep with this is almost as bad as feather pillows, to which I have a very high allergy.
These days it's hard to get quilts and pillows that are NOT filled with this substance.
My question is, does anyone else here have this problem?

hi Elspe-just came across your post and wish I had some ad vice for you but I have the same problems I have spent so much money on different pillows and they all cause me problems due to asthma and allergies-down pillows being the worse! if you do come up with something could you pass it on to me? -thank you so much and hope you find the right pillows soon.
Argh! We've bought pillows and quilts from Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's. (We live in UK). Quilts and pillows from here mostly are actually labelled with contents - and that's what you have to find. Even asking a salesperson for help, as hubby did, we still were sold a quilt with micro. They don't know and apparently can't read. He has the excuse that he's blind. She doesn't. I think it must be a rare allergy and as such most people don't really register it. If it doesn't have contents showing, as many cheaper quilts, don't buy it.
