Hi I suffer from back spasms aswell as asthma and epilepsy. My back spasms are through a lower damage in the back and sometimes the spasms can be triggered by a summer breeze touching the area my known hyper triggers are the cold and vibration eg going on a bus the movement from the bus sends vibration to my back I've even sneezed a caused a spasm because the vibration was the sneeze if it happens again keep a log take painkillers that work for you and if hot or cold plays a part dress warmer or cooler I wear jumpers all year round I actually make them to help move around more and if it's still happening ask your Dr for a lumbar and thoracic ct or mri to look for possible damage to the lower and mid/upper spine area just to rule it out. Good luck
Because of an old injury when my back goes into spasm I am not able to move at all , literally rigid on the floor paralysed . There is no use worrying about this , if it happens it happens , but the best way to avoid it is to control your asthma so you don't end up coughing !
