I am going to have surgery on my nasal polyps to cure my post nasal drip. My amazing wonderful mother has given me the money to have it done.
I am going to see a private consultant on Friday to discuss my treatment. So I left a message for my GP who tried to refer me that I going private. The treatment center is going to ring my doctor tomorrow morning to get my medical records etc.
So roll on Friday.
Oh, well done you and your mother! We’re all different, as we know, but my husband had this done about 2.5 years ago to help with his blocked nose and hay fever, and it has really helped! He also recovered pretty fast. There seems to be a risk they come back, but so far so good!

I'm so happy for you. God bless your mother! I had sinus surgery years ago and have never looked back. I still have hardly any problem with my sinuses to this day. My ex has had polyps removed more recently than my surgery and the recovery time is shorter and less unpleasant than when I had it done 
Hi all I haven't had my appointment yet as there was a bit of miscommunication between the treatment center and my doctors. All sorted now and I have a new date of next Tuesday afternoon. I have two appointments one to see the consultant and the other straight after to get my prep op assessment done.
Plus I going to see the doctor who tried to get it done on the NHS on Monday morning.
Even more good news I had my appointment yesterday and poltyics have gone. No surgery necessary but confirmation of allergic rhinitis ( caused by house dust mites). I knew about this and lived with post nasal drip before.
New nasal spray dymyista (steroid and antihistamine) enough for the next 8 weeks then repeat from doctors.
Next challenge is to make my bedroom more unfriendly to dust mites. New bedding and damp dusting.
