Typical!

How typical! I’ve spent the last few days telling everyone who asked that my asthma was great at the moment and I really felt like it was fairly under control for the first time in ages.

Then last night I had some kind of allergic reaction to some air freshener in a taxi (or I assume it was that as my lips and face went all tingly and swelled up!) and had to run for a train right after.

I’ve had the odd little attack in recent weeks but have picked up again very quickly afterwards but this time my peak flow is still down and symptoms are sticking around 🙄 fingers crossed things start picking up tomorrow - I could do without going downhill again!

I know it always seems to be the way doesn’t it! They’re still not happy so suspect I’m probably headed for an a&e trip but I’m staying with family until tomorrow evening, so hoping I can last till I get home and then at least I can see my normal team if things go south!

Not in the mood to try and explain my weird history 😂

That’s traight out allergic attack to the stuff in the cab,

I would carry some zanax antihistamines on the off chance they would counteract any such extreme episode quickly before the asthma response gets set in badly.

I always do and did take some, which stopped it setting off my breathing too bad at the time. But unfortunately it just put my twitchy lungs in a bit of a bad mood!

Oh! If you are a bit older or living with lots of stress as forty year olds and on do, maybe it’s because your dhea has decreased to the point your lungs are twitchy.

I’m only 23, although I often feel a lot older at the moment! But even before my asthma got worse I’ve always had a fairly over-excitable allergic response so assume it’s just my body continuing to be weird!

Oh dear, so sorry. Need a great allergy and respiratory specialist to talk too, they generally don’t know of hormonal stuff which predisposes.

Maybe look at articles on raypeat.com re allergies .

He is an. honest scientist, not marketing, not a doctor.

med research is 20 or 30 years behind.

Js have been reading an articles on vegetables and other food incidentally on raypeat.com. He has many articles so this is down near the bottom of the page. Lots of allergens and why they and choice of avoidance, might be something for you. Easy. I am going to eat potatoes again which I love plus other underground vegs. There either something innate in you, or something broadly environmental hence this offers a difference.
