I had asthma as a child, seemed to grow out of it as a teenager but in my thirties it started up again. I take Seretide everyday as a preventer and rarely use my blue reliever. The worst problem is spray air fresheners and perfumes, while they smell nice they start me wheezing and reaching for my Ventolin. Always having to look for fragrance free washing liquid,etc.

Hi there, do you find your reliever inhaler works? I’m the same as you- childhood asthma, fine as a teenager and back in my mid 30s. I take symbicort 200 however I find that most days I’m fine but when something triggers me my inhaler doesn’t help the SOB and wheeze- it goes away on it own after a few hours. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the same reaction to sprays. I have to be so careful. The worst is strong perfumes and colognes. It's hard to explain to someone that you can't be around them because the smell is causing your lungs to seize up! Fortunately, I work from home so it's not a big problem at the moment. x
