I’ll apologise now for my moaning but I am fed up and feeling somewhat alone with my thoughts and things right now. I had my fifth hospital admission of the year two weeks ago with a chest infection and my emotions haven’t really been right since.
I am waiting for a Brompton referral as my current hospital have said I need to been seen there however I was told they were doing it two months ago and I’ve heard nothing.
My chest still isn’t great despite steroids and everything so struggling day to day. Just to top it all off one of my eyes which I have had issues with in the past has got worse and now I can only really make out shapes and colours (drs think because of long term steroids)
I had a course of CBT last summer. Don’t really think it helped. I just don’t know what to do to get me back on track. X

I too have been having problems with one of my eyes and thought it was linked to all the steroids. I have had cataracts removed in both eyes, and ok, but then my right eye started getting blurry. Can't see a thing on the letter board. I had a cold sore, and now have a corneal ulcer, which we are hoping will get better with the ability viral meds and ointments. Sorry to hear you are going through a tough patch. I am sure they will be able to help at the Brompton. Like any of these clinics, we need to stay or get in touch to find out where we are on the waiting list, and how long it will be. Got to go to bed myself now, bit wheezy myself - I know why though, the air pressure is dropping here in Huntingdonshire. All the best.
Sorry to hear you are unwell. Incase this is helpful. Continie to seek the help you need with Medical staff and asthma support on and off-line to help with physical symptoms. It can be frustrating with waiting times, but never give up as help and support is always available. Mindfulness too (Practicing Acceptance and compassion / love for yourself and for the emotions that arise as a result of what you are going through, can help with the emotional side. There are always Good people out there who will help and support. With new and old symptoms. Keep going, you are Amazing.
Sounds like a really exhausting time and worrying. Do check on your appointment, be persistent. Re therapy, I'd always give it a try. Could you get a longer course prescribed? Hope things settle a bit soon and that you get a proper diagnosis for your eyes too. Anybody would be totally overwhelmed by what you're describing. You're very brave.
