It is difficult to help you when we know so little about you, apart from your obvious distress. You should be able to find some help online if you suspect you are bipolar, and I hope you know that stress is a major factor in asthma. Try going to your doctor with someone who knows you well - friend or relative - to explain how hard life is and ask where you can get help locally. You need someone to support you while you do this.

Be kind to yourself and be brave.

Hello cadet,

Not sure what your comment or query is, but I wonder if you are trying to explain the different medical perception of the two conditions?

For many years I had allergies and migraine, then developed ME / CFS but it was only when I developed asthma that my GP suddenly seemed to think I had a "proper" illness!! Doh!

It somehow gave some significance to my varying symptoms. All I can say is that it reflected poorly on that doctor and I eventually found a better GP to see who respected me and treated me by listening and working with me.

You have done well to cope with bi-polar and I hope that you continue to manage both these illness with the input of good, caring medical support. Doctors are human and can jump to the wrong conclusion. Stay informed about your own health needs. Get the best information you can and find a doctor or medical care team who support you as best as possible.
