Hi Jennifer, that sounds miserable. Have you been to see your GP/Asthma nurse? If not, you should be able to get an appointment within 24 hours.

Hi Jenifer, sorry to hear you’re not well at the moment.

Sounds like you need to do a judgement call; can you wait until you can see your GP on Monday or do you need to go in to hospital today...?

Don’t know if you’ve had any ventolin, how much you’ve had, or if it’s working, but if your not feeling any better after 10 puffs (and a 10 minute wait) I would advise going to hospital (better through a spacer if you have one). Similarly if the improvement you get doesn’t last 4 hours, as it’s a sign of an uncontrolled attack and needs further treatment. Don’t put it off, a&e would rather see a mild attack that is easily treated than a severe one which can kill you (it’s cheaper and less stressful for all involved! 😅).
