Not sure whether it is my eosiniphilic asthma or the prednisolone but I am constantly fighting coughs and colds - taking supplements makes no difference- as soon as one goes I get another. Anyone else like this?

Eosiniphilic asthma and colds
Hi! Sorry your having problems with your asthma. If you have high eosinophils it might be that this is causing your cold like symptoms in your sinuses. The cough maybe because of post nasal drip. Are you on any specific treatment for your asthma? There are monoclonal treatments for those with high eosinophils which your consultant can test you for and see if you hit the criteria. If approved it may be that this helps with the asthma and cough/cold type symptoms. Hope this helps. Any other questions please do just shout!
I don't know if it's relevant, but I was diagnosed with asthma (and fixed small airways obstruction) after I complained of incessant winter colds. I am not familiar with the particular condition of "eosinophilic asthma", but I do know that eosinophils are produced in response to any allergy. Since I suffer from hayfever in the summer, I decide to continue the beclometasone inhaler in the winter, together with the asthma inhaler at night, and that seems to reduce the symptoms. As justTUX says, the colds may be due to a raised eosinophil count, and not a virus, though I can't say for the cough.
