Asthma attack
Not entirely sure. I know I do ache afterwards but it tends to be my chest, back and abdominal muscles. This is because of the muscles I use to cough during an attack. Just make sure the aches aren't flu related. Otherwise, she should be fine. Just keep an eye on her.
Thanks for getting back she was complaining about having sore ribs and I put that down to when she couldn’t breath properly but the sore legs were a bit puzzling and she is in a lot of pain as she is struggling when she walks I will see how she is in the morning and give the asthma nurse a call in the morning if she isn’t any better
Thanks again
Children can get something called myositis with certain viral infections. If a flu-like virus triggered her asthma attack this could be what is happening. It causes muscle aches of the legs and they can end up limping with it because of the ache.
But as said numerous times in this forum we can't give out medical advice here so the asthma nurses will be your best port of call.
Regarding asthma attacks like the above poster I too get neck, chest and abdominal pains following an attack of coughing and SOB but never had the leg pains before.
Just making a suggestion based on the information that you have provided what it might be - but that would really require a doctor's assessment and diagnosis as other things might cause it too. Haven't heard of leg pains with asthma, but everyone is individual.
Took my daughter to the doctor yesterday and thy think it’s a side effect off the steroids
