Coughing

Hi every one

Please can anyone help. I cough all day. All day. I am on fostair cetirizine, montelucast, Qvar andAvamist nasal spray I cough for approx 4-6 mins at a time about 10 times a day ...help

Hi ya hope I can help I been coughing every day for the past 4 weeks nothing helps I’ve been on antibiotics and steroids I’ve had 2 courses as I had a chest infection been sent to hospital for chest X-ray got to wait 2 weeks for results just can’t get rid of it i also have ashma and have blue and brown pumps which I take every day xx

Sounds familiar - been doing that for 3-4 years. Well actually only reduced intensity and frequency of coughing recently when I was given montelukast. Have you tried Ventolin or something? Steaming and use of sinus rinses also helps me a bit - just to reduce it, not get rid of it. But mine is due to post-nasal drip with "twitchy airways". Have you gotten a diagnosis

If it is a non productive cough, and only if it is non productive. You could try the Butekyo Stop cough method. Look it up on you tube, also I have posted it to other threads.

However if you are coughing this much you need to find out what is causing you to have such twitchy lungs. Other posters have mentioned some of the main causes.
