IV had asthma for almost 50years.some causes are physical allergies but other causes are pyscosymatic. stress has been a huge cause. IV never been a high energy person as a result of asthma. The only time I got good energy levels was when I started to swim n do water sports. But even during that time I had asthma attacks.my asthma was completely ignored and untreated in childhood. I think its why I never grew out of it

Low energy from asthma
I agree stress can be a factor in asthma. We can ignore the impact it has on our mental health. Being ignored and not acknowledged be when you are ill. Can make you feel like you are making it up or just not want to make yourself heard.
However you are here now reaching out for help. May I suggest you first go to the doctor and explain how you are physically and then they will access where you are physically.
Next I recommend asthma UK helpline at asthma UK or. Open Monday-friday 9am-5pm manned by very experienced asthma nurses who will listen to your concerns and answers your questions.
Lastly you will find here a community of people who will welcome you and answers your question if they can. They have always been amazing for me supporting me through the good and the bad times.
We aren't experts but we been there and got the T shirt.
Ask your GP if you can go on a pulmonary rehabilitation course, as they are very good, and consider if your low energy is linked to your low mood, as it very well might be. If you take control of yourself, mentally and physically, you should start to feel better. It takes a while, but be determined. I have had the same sort of asthma as you and I have come to terms with it (most of the time) and found the PR course really helpful. Get the people around you to be positive and supportive as that also helps.
You can do this.
