Hello

I am currently being investigated for Addison`s and have come across numerous articles linking flixitide and singular with the cause of Addison`s.

I was wondering if anyone has had this link?

There is a link between inhaled steroid use and adrenal suppression leading to secondary Addison’s. Also long term use of prednisolone for Asthma control will cause secondary Addison’s. if you are on 4 puffs a day of high level inhaled steroids you are effectively taking in your daily maintenance level of cortisol so this will suppress your adrenals.

Yes unfortunately..Addison is a primary disease, what we get is adrenal glands insufficiency, not so fatal, steroids intake makes those glands lazy so you have to take more steroids to compensate..which I do since September..it has changed my life, I could hardly stand up in the end with fatigue, aches and pains.

Good luck Nicola 🌸
