Feeling Irritated

Hi all, haven't been on here in a while. I'm really struggling to stay asleep at the moment it's like I constantly need to yawn to feel like I have taken enough breathe in? I have asthma which is well controlled and I know there is something called 'air hunger' but not sure if it's all just in my head. Anyone else get this?

Hi there, I know how you feel, it used to happen to me quite a lot, the reason for it being could possibly be that you are using scented products, e.g. Perfume, room spray etc. This can inflame your lungs a little and cause you not to breath quite as you should. Try to completely cut them out and see how you feel then. I hope this helps x

Aww really? I think it's partly stress too I can never seem to relax! Woops I sprayed a lot on this morning but I'll give anything a go, thanks for the tip! X

I've had this all my life! (Thought I was alone lol!) it's like a panicky feeling to me, I hate it lol x

My other half has that constant need to yawn and hers is caused by stress, she has downloaded relaxation mps3 and they seem to help.

Oh does she? Yeah I think it is mostly just stress! I have a app called 'calm' I might start using that again. Thanks for your reply X

I get this too when I'm stressed or getting over an asthma attack which causes more stress. So yeah, once you get that first inkling that you can't take a full breath, that triggers the panic/stress in your mind. For me, it's purely stress and anxiety.
