I have only recently had problems with prescribed steroids so try not to get them now - thankfully I have not needed them. The last few times I had them they kept me awake for 24 hours solid for the most of the time I was on them and was glad to finish the course. Don't know what to suggest. Suppose it will take some time for your system to get used to everything as you taper down the medication. Good Luck.

Hi ..... I'm on 25mg permanently as a maintenance have been for 12 months !

I've found taking them as early in the morning as possible can elieviate some of the sleep problems ...

Good luck

Oh yes. Give me preds any day for getting all kinds of jobs done! However, as you say, drooping follows. It's just the way it is. Explain this to your boss and point out that you'll have stabilised once you're off them altogether. Caffeine is good for asthmatics, so you can have lots of coffee at your desk. Not too strong, mind or you'll get no sleep at all!

Enjoy it while it lasts!!
