So, I was diagnosed with asthma about three years ago. It's always been pretty mild, until this year when I was prescribed Fostair, then montelukast. Until July, everything was fine. Then I got laryngitis. Since then, I've had two courses of oral pred, finishing the last one last Friday. And I'm back to coughing again. Fostair MART and lots of ventolin every day. It's really beginning to get on my nerves - just want to get back to normal! I've had a consultant referral but haven't heard anything yet. Seeing asthma nurse on Friday again. What else can I do to really get on top of this? Thanks and sorry to whinge!:)

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. Unfortunately I am on a different drug regime for my asthma so cannot offer any advice on that, but thank goodness you are seeing your asthma nurse soon. ♥

Best advice I can give is rest and relaxation.

Patience and time is very important

best advice is get tested and be assessed. Being on the right medication and how to manage your asthma is crucial to getting better.
