Feeling meh!

Chest feels like I'm only using the top part tonight, peak flow is a bit reduced (400 from 570) so putting my feet up. Had a couple of puffs of ventolin but to be honest it hasn't helped a great deal ;-(

Might need the day off work tomorrow ....my boss will not be happy!

Morning Upset I read about pursed lip breathing on the general post a member posted about it , it seems to help you slow and control your breathing better. You can find how to do it on u tube or I just googled it. Sorry I am not too helpful but at my age well poor old ❇ hope this helps you a bit ♥♥♥

Rather large drop, over 30%, could be indicative of a respiratory infection. i would get in touch with YOUR GP this morning for an on the day appointment. Tell them your peak flow has dropped I'm excess of 30% from your normal.

Oh for the days of being able to get over 500, was down to 310 recently. 400 is s good day.

Ha ha yes over 500 is great except no one takes you seriously when you drop because it's still above expected, not many Dr's seem to go by personal best rather than predicted! I put it down to playing the trombone as a kid.

Yes, i decided seeing the gp might be best after a few dips around the 60% mark during the night. I tried calling but all appointments gone, what a surprise! Receptionist said i sounded like I was struggling so if I came in they'd slot me in if a patient doesn't turn up or something. So I'm going to go down there later. Need to take a bit more ventolin before I attempt to walk there!

I'm fortunate at my GP surgery. Where I am well known. Always fit me in for on the day if need be. Got stand by antibiotics and loads prednisone at home, so 1st thing I increase press to 40mg a day and if no improvement in 2 days, give Doc call as may be flair up of bronchiectasis and possibly psudeomonas, which will require IV antibiotics, and you know where you get that. Two admissions in last year.

Sounds like your gp is on the ball! I guess they don't want you to go to hospital if it can be helped so slotting you in quickly is better.

I made it to our gps, wasn't waiting long to be fair, the asthma nurse was there when I arrived so I think she helped things along! Anyway no antibiotics as doc doesn't think there's any infection but double seretide and 10puffs ventolin every 4 hours for next couple of days. Was given a nebuliser treatment before I left too which was bliss, felt good to breathe properly and told to return if peak flow reduced below 350.
