Been a member of AUK boards for many years.

I have brittle/ severe asthma, both types to be awkward...

I use nebs, oxygen and sometimes s/c ventolin at home. On permanent steroids, though keep them as low as poss... but still have quite a few side effects such as muscle weakness, osteopenia, ruptured tendons (achilles when twang in 2009 and a couple of partial ruptures since)

I use crutches and have a manual wheelchair called Boudicca and Miranda is my electric wheelchair... these help me keep some independence...

I do some p/t permitted work as an ecologist, computerised mapping.... on an as and when (breathing!) basis.

Lungs are in a steady state of instability...
