hi, I had a really bad asmtha attack 2 weeks ago, had to stay in hospital for 5 days with it, I had to see my asmtha nurse yesterday, she has upped one of my pumps, and put me back on the steroids tablets again, but then she listen to my chest, and said I had a silent chest, does anyone know if that's good or bad, thanks

No this is not good i just spent a week in hospital after silent chest and had a seizure as the doctor did not identify it and left me at home for a day before the pain got so bad I phoned an ambulance. I spent 2 hours in resus and a night on HDU and then a week on a ward. I am new to this and looking for information and others to share notes/experiences with. Am still exhausted and still feel quite unwell. My asthma has been well managed for like years and years so this has all come as a bit of a shock. I think mine came from a chest infection. It would be good to hear how you are doing now
