Hi I have been on this inhaler for the last week seems to be helping reduce my asthma. I have needed less salbutamol this week my consultant has put me on this in the hope to cut out the pred. I have been on for 4 months now tow to 20 mg I see him again in 3 weeks with the home of being down to 10 mg pred without an admission hopefully my lugs will let me do this.

Take care Emmaleigh

Thanks emmaleigh I wonder how long it takes to kick in its my first day today

Hi Blondee

I was just wondering how you were getting on with your new inhaler and was curious to know if you think your asthma was any better controlled and also share my experience so far,

It has now been almost four weeks- I have been taking Spiriva respimat every night before I go to sleep. I think it seems to be doing something

I have has less breathlessness and have also had three days where I needed no ventolin an achievement. and I have also managed to cut down the pred from 25mg to 10mg. I still wheeze most days though. I see my consultant again on the 10th of April he is going to do some mannitol provocational testing to determine if I have asthma of the allergic type and also some skin testing to see if anything specific is causing me to wheeze.

Hi emmaleigh I wish I could say the same but I don't see a vast improvement just very slightly, still taking my reliever my appointment is the 18th May. I did have to come off it for 3 dys as I got gastroenteritis from my baby grandson and couldn't keep anything down and certainly couldn't draw much breath , so maybe I have broken the chain been back on it since Friday but no a bit disappointed really don't know what he will do next!
