DRY POWDER INHALERS
If it is only in the morning you cough and have some mucus it could be from lying down at night and some stuff settling. Do you take your reliever inhaler before you take your preventers?
iIt might be an idea to try this. Take your reliever about 10 minutes before you take your preventer. You may cough and clear whats in your chest from the night and then be able to take your preventer and ensure it gets down into your lungs.
Or you could ask for an MDI version of your inhaler and take it through a spacer which might help with the coughing.
I am lucky enough not to use my reliever now for two weeks was using it 3 times a day but I take one tablet at night called Montelukast and have had no need of it so not sure it would help at night but twill try it, I already use a spacer whats an MDI ? is it the same as I take now, I have an appointment with my doc on Friday so want to go with lots of info to talk to her about
If you're using a spacer you've already got an MDI - Metered Dose Inhaler, that's just the proper term for the squirty aerosol inhalers
