Asthma app?

I wondered if anyone knew of any asthma monitoring apps for Android (and I guess Iphone/ipad)?

Would be helpful for me to be able to record stuff like how often I need my inhaler, peak flows and stuff.

Also, wondered if anyone knew if Asthma UK might develop something?

asthmaMD is quite a comprehensive asthma-specific app - but I think it's only available for iPhone/iPod Touch.

For general medicine reminder apps, I've used bother Dosecast and Pillboxie on my iOS devices and can recommend both - I currently use Pillboxie because the UI is, to me, more appealing - although Dosecast is more configurable.

No idea about android apps, though, I'm afraid.

I used AsthmaMD for a while, liked it at first but it got annoying so not sure you're missing anything there! (it has a habit of not recording your real PF but an average for the zone you're in, which my cons found less than helpful when he wanted to see my chart).

Not sure if it comes for Android too but I use one called AsthmaTrack which is better, though has a lot of stuff I never use and seems to encourage rabbiting on which no-one appreciates lol.

I'd like to know if AUK are planning one: I find the current selection disappointing and, as far as I can see, not developed with the input of any asthmatics! I think our input is important as well as dr/asthma nurse input, so if AUK ever did have the funding/time to develop something like this I think it would be a great project - or if someone else wanted to work with them - and us?

I use Asthma Pulse Breathe Easy which I have found very good it is an app for the I-Phone and I think you can get it for the I-Pad.

Asthma UK has been involved with the creation of an Android app, called ""My Asthma Log"" - although it is aimed more at children and young people. You can download it from Google Play (it's free) here:

Peaksteve, do you know if Asthma UK are going to be involved with a creation of an app that is designed for adults.

Just though i'd mention that Ive found one for ipod called AsthmaSense which i really like, can set reminders for meds and peak flows, and record symptoms from a set list, and record rescue med usage, and one 'as needed' medication all by just tapping one button. Can make an alarm go off to tell you to take meds/PF, and it graphs it all, comparing it to when youve taken all your meds (PF or symptoms). Its pretty good i find so thought id share :-)

I use asthma tracker, which is quite good but I'm always open to trying anything that may be better!

I've found this for Android phone/tablet users; see what you think - it's free so worth a try, perhaps:
