Monthly injections

My husband has late onset adult asthma diagnosed 5 yeras ago. His condition has not been managed and has ever incresing meds. He is on his second round of monthly injections of triamomolore (?). Any one with any experience of this? He has no energy and is beginning to become despondant.

Hello & welcome first of all Ruth!

There are many people here on all sorts of meds for asthma. Has he seen a consultant specialising in asthma as not all respiratory do?

Is it triamcinolone also known as Kenalog (steroid injections) you mean? If so there has been posts previously you can find by searching.

Thanks for advice. My husband goes for 3rd monthly injection today...seems to be working. Energy level so much higher and PF bordering 600.

New to asthmas uk finding the forum a great support and source of info. It's great to be able to read other people's accounts. Feel less isolated and alone.

Thanks

Ruth
