Word filter?

Woody-som has just PMed me to see if there's a word censor built into the boards, because he used the word ""b*tch"" in a post and the board changed it to ""female dogging"".

So, to test this:

female dog

Yep, it changes it. Does it work with funk too?

Clearly it does. Is this new? I've never noticed it before.

That's odd - it allowed me to use all the words it has previously censored in this post! So, like the rest of the AUK board, it's clearly half-arsed!

St Lois had me up for saying ""bloody"" just now, the world is upside down. I can understand female dog, horrible word starting with a c and ending in t. I think uck with a f on it is bad but I should point out that p i s s was common parlence infact Samual Pepys uses it in his diary, does the word filter remove the hit with a s on the front, how about obollox you know the word I mean :)

Hi,

A quick update on this. We've spoken with Torchbox about making the swear filter more effective (now that we know it exists!) and they're on the case. I'll keep you posted.
