hi gail

there is a section on the website bout asthma in pregnancy giving tips etc...

not yet to find out how it will effect me but it says third of people's symptoms improve, third get worse, third of people's symptoms stay the same...

i emailed the asthma nurses for advice on such as i am in relationship and obviously wanna hae chidren in near future, but due to severity and instability of my asthma currently, am very reluctant. they were great, very understanding and supportive.. maybe try ringing them on monday for advice and tips?

also ur midwife and resp consultant should be able to advise you appropriately.

one thing goes without saying tho!! REST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE :)

as stated you have the three option get better, worse or stay the same. We held out all our hope for getting better or at least staying the same. After five years of trying we all held our breath. Unfortunately for us it seemed the moment my hormones kicked in my chest said what on earth is happening!! i had an awful time and my hubby and family all had a nightmare too. i was admitted several times requiring alot of support and finally at 26weeks i became a resident until he was born six wks later.it was the toughest 32 weeks i have ever had. without a doubt totally worth it. little one was born early by c section and he is a terror. just as a boy should be. i would do it all over again tomorrow but have been firmly advised that it is not an option. do make sure you get plenty of rest and ultimately listen to healthcare professionals advise. one of my closest asthmatic friends had a ropey time up until twelve wks and then blossomed. so take each day as it comes. keep us posted on that growing bump. chell.xx
