If your ventolin is not relieving you go to OOHs oor A and E hun, Go sooner and get home soonmer, leave it longer and you will get too tired. Let us know how you are xxxx
the thing is im at home and my mum is being funny about it
why? what do you mean hun?
she saying youve had worse just get in a steamy room
she saying youve had worse just get in a steamy room
you know best yourself, I would look at it in the way of she might be a bit funny but she will get over it and you will feel better and be able to deal wiih it better anyway but if you make yourslef worse byt not getting help then you willl still need help in the long run and feel worse and not be able to stay so strong emotionally.
i know this the asthma nurse at the drs told me i have to go but my mum doesnt belive me
It is hard when people don't believe how quickly things go wrong and I am not sure how you can change her view but you have to look after yourself hun. Maybe you could take her to one of you appointments or something. Have you rung OOHs?
my mum wont let me.
i have pm'd you
Hi, so sorry to hear your problem, as important as our parents are your profile says your 21, therefore I think it would be perfectly acceptable to ignore your mum, there's no point in risking your life. You could always show your mum the advice from Asthma Uk on what to do in an asthma attack. Hoping you got sorted by now as I notice your post was an hour and a half ago. Let us know how you get on.
Please get help asap.

Hope your feeling better now. If not go to A&E, or ring your GP Out of Hours number, they will give you advice or NHS Direct 0845 46 47. If your inhaler doesn't help and you still have symptoms you need to act quickly. Asthma symptoms should never ever be ignored or taken lightly, the UK has a high rate of near fatal asthma attacks and fatal asthma attacks.
You need to get a Personal Asthma Plan to help you know what to do and when. Asthma UK has a brilliant advice line the Nurses are really helpful and lovely they will point you in the right direction and help you. I am indebted to them for helping me to realise the seriousness of my asthma and telling me to go to A&E.
Put yourself first and seek help/advice, don't wait..... Hope you will be okay and don't let circumstances affect your judgement - get help sooner rather than later. Take good care and let us know how you are, Lois x
