A thank you !

Can I thank the staff of the ""walk-in"" centre in Newcastle for looking after me the other day when I was in a fair bit of pain from a pancreatic inflammation, obviously I have no idea if any of them look at the site but if they do, a big festive thanks!!

-we all have our digs sometimes at doctors but they do a great job.

""respect"".

Thank you for that post, bluejam; I know we've most of us had our ups and downs with the NHS so it's really nice and refreshing to read a positive story for a change! It's very nice as well that you have taken the time to post about this - I think we are all too often very eager to criticise the bad stuff without praising the good stuff. As you say, I've no idea if any of the people you're referring to read the site - can I be cheeky and suggest perhaps a letter or card to the centre thanking them, if you haven't done it already? - I know from personal experience how much difference that can make to NHS staff, especially those working on the 'front line' at this difficult and busy time of year.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had inflammation of your pancreas - I know that can be very unpleasant and painful. I do hope it's now settling.

Take care

Em H

Yes, thanks Bluejam - it's nice to read something positive.

I agree with Em; please do, if you have a moment, drop them a card or letter. It really does make your day as a health pro when you get something like that. :)
