As a long term severe asthmatic, it appears certain medications have had an effect on my heart and my Respiratory Consultant referred me to a Cardiac Consultant who has set up this procedure for next Wednesday.

What a new year bummer, got to go to St Mary's Paddington for a By Pass in Jan. At least it's a Top Hospital and my RBH Consultant's Boss, Prof Robinson works there as well.

My Grandad had his done there many years ago and he is still going at the grand age of 94!

Hi there,

My dad (who's 72) had a triple bypass at RBH back in October, and is now like a new man! Only a couple of weeks to go before he's back on the golf course and out of my mums way!

After being ill for the last couple of years, this op has given him a new lease of life.

My brother had the same op a couple of months ago and came back as a right old cantankerous devil = not a personality-changing experience then!
