Hello, nice to meet you all. I am fairly new to asthma and was just about settling down on my inhalers till this week. I take qvar 2 puffs bd and ventolin 2 puffs prn.
this week my chest has been really tight and I have been needing my ventolin 3 or 4 times daily.
My gp receptionist said I have to go and see them this afternoon as this is not right and they need to review me. Wot on earth can they add next?
I think a lot of mild asthmatics have had problems this week.
I am glad you have got an app this PM to see your GP.
There are a lot of other medications and add ons that may be prescribed.
These can be higher strenght preventers, protector inhalers or even a change of preventer to a different type of steroid.
Once all the inhalers have been tried , some people may need tablets too.
Anyway, let us know how you get on!
Kate
