Does anyone know if the particle size of ventolin in a nebulizer is smaller than that when taken in inhaler form? Thanks...

Sorry, dont know for certain, but i would think particle would be smaller in nebuliser.

I only base this on seeing how ventolin looks when pressed and in the air. Then compared it to the really wispy way it looks when coming out of microneb.

It just looks totally different to me.

Thank you Howie for the answer... it was one of those questions which had been bugging me for a while...

I almost replied to this last night to say exactly what Howie wrote, but I didn't as I thought someone might come along who knew for definite.... I'd say yes (but I may well be wrong!)

edit: haha I just realised what a useless reply this is! Sorry!!

Just curious really as have problems with my small airways so unfortunately in this case particle size does matter! Just wondering if a nebuliser would be better for the delivery of finer particles to the deepest part of my lungs.. Already on Spiriva resmat which has a smaller particle size (very noticable when sprayed compared to other inhalers).
