I would like to wish John Smeaton - he was one of the hereos of the Glasgow Airport Terrorist Attack in June 2007 - well and hope he gets better soon after a serious asthma attack last week, according to the papers he nearly died and the Doctors had to work really hard to save his life when he deteriated on Sunday night

Agreed.

However, I must add that when I originally saw this thread I thought it was about this chap:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_...

His main current claim to fame, if I can call it that, is that he is referenced in the first verse of ""I Predict A Riot"" by the Kaiser Chiefs!

I remember Frankie Boyle shortly after that incident saying that only in Glasgow would a man who was on fire still get a beating!!

Does anyone know how he has got one? The last I heard he was in intensive care.

Jen

According to good old wikipedia he regained consciousness on Wednesday 22nd October. I do hope that wiki is right on this and that he is doing ok :)

ive just googled him and found he went home on 5th nov. Not sure if this predates this latest episode but hope not. Wishin him all the best for a speedy recovery anyways whether he be in costa or at home. Best wishes john! Xx
